Petra Massey

Petra is an actress and physical theatre performer in stage, film and television. She is best known on British TV for playing the ‘enhanced human’ Sandstrom in two series of the BBC Sci-Fi comedy series Hyperdrive.

She has travelled the world performing both her street show and solo theatre show Panic. On her return she joined stunt theatre/pyrotechnic company KKG in Switzerland and regularly somersaulted off motorbikes, dangled from 60ft cranes and was once shot from a fire fuelled pond into a shopping trolley. While at KKG she met her Spanish, German and English cohorts and founded the physical theatre company Spymonkey, creating the plays Stiff, Cooped, Bless and Moby Dick. They have recently returned from a three-year contract at New York – New York Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas where they performed in the Cirque Du Soleil’s erotic cabaret Zumanity.

Petra is currently involved in the development of Empuaan’s Educational Theatre Project.
