Congratulations and thank you to Empuaan trustee Christina Marcham and her new husband Joseph Baker, who married on May 16 this year and asked their wedding guests to consider making a donation to Empuaan instead of buying wedding gifts.

Chris and Joe were delighted to announce at the June trustee meeting that their friends and relations have donated an amazing total of over £1850! Everyone at Empuaan would like to send a huge thank you to Chris and Joe for their exceptional generosity and to all their guests who gave such wonderful gifts.

The fabulous sum raised by Chris and Joe’s wedding guests will make a really significant contribution to our HIV prevention projects in Tanzania, enabling Maasai men and women to make informed choices that will protect their sexual health and reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS and related suffering among their communities.

We wish Chris and Joe many long and happy years together!
